Q: When do we need to send our invitations out?

A: The most important thing is to send out a Save the Date first so your guests can plan accordingly. Save the Dates go out 6 – 9 months before the wedding.

Invitations 6 – 8 weeks before the wedding day.
If you’re having a destination wedding, 8 – 10 weeks before the wedding.
And if you’re not sending a Save the Date, 3 months before the wedding.

Q: How do we word our invitations?

A: Your wording selection will be based on your circumstances (who is hosting – the bridal couple, bride’s parents, groom’s parents or if your parents are divorced etc.) and also your style (formal, informal, elegant, fun & quirky).
We have invitation wording samples to help you with everything you need to know.

Q: What kind of information should be in an invite?

A: An invitation usually consists of the following elements:
-       Main invitation wording (date, location, times & any other significant details like dress code, no children etc.)
-       RSVP details
-       Wishing well / gift ideas or registry details
-       Map & Directions
-       Accommodation

Q: When should our guests RSVP?

A: The more time you give your guests to reply, the more likely they are to forget. And most things only get finalised 2 – 6 weeks before the wedding so we would advise sending your invitations out 2 months before the wedding and giving them 2 weeks to reply, i.e. 6 weeks before the wedding.

But as you know, people these days aren’t very prompt with RSVP’ing so you might have people only replying 2 weeks before the wedding. You are most likely to do a follow up or maybe send a friendly reminder emailer (which we can also design).

Q: How much is your consultation fee?

A: We don’t charge a consultation fee to meet ;D

Q: What are your lead times, prices and how do we go about to initiate the process?

A: Please refer to our “How we work” page, here.

Q: We don’t want to spend a lot on invites as people usually throw them away. What other recommendations or solutions do you have?

A: We don’t generally like this type of question because we believe if something is beautiful enough, people will be intrigued to read it and rather keep it than throwing it in the trash. Besides, it sets the tone for what your special day will be and people need to plan in advance so it needs to be informative.

Having that said, we can still create beautiful designs in e-mailer form which is cheaper.

Mostly bridal make-up :)

Q: Which make-up brands do you use?

A: Predominantly Kryolan. It’s a professional make-up brand which is world-renowned. It’s very colour-intense, long-lasting and still comfortable to wear. It’s also hypoallergenic which means it’s suitable for sensitive skins.

Q: Do you do hair as well?

A: Unfortunately not yet.

Q: Do you do ethnic skins?

A: We do all types of skins.

Q: How should I prepare my skin for the wedding day?

A: Make-up lasts longer when the skin is hydrated and moisturised. Make sure you drink lots of water daily and apply enough moisturiser on the day of the wedding. Your eyebrows should also be tweezed or waxed for the big day.

Q: When is best to schedule the trial?

A: About a month before the wedding.

Q: What if I’m not happy with the trial?

A: We will ensure you you will look your utmost best. If you’re not happy with the first application we can redo the trial at no extra cost if it's on the same day. Trials can also be booked separately before you confirm with us for your wedding day.

Q: How much time do you need for make-up application?

A: For bridal about an hour, other applications 30-40min.

Q: I hardly ever wear make-up, would you still be able to make me look natural?

A: Absolutely. The products we use are long-lasting yet still comfortable to wear. You still need some covering for under eye circles, redness, blemishes, pigmentation and shine control.
Getting professional make-up done is essential as a camera flash tends to take away most of the colour and sometimes makes you look pale when not having the right foundation on. You want to look your radiant self and we will just enhance your natural beauty.

Q: How much do you charge?

A: A pricelist can be sent upon request.

Q: How soon do I need to book?

A: The sooner the better as it will depend on availability. 50% deposit is required to secure your date.

Q: Do you travel?

A: Yes we do. Within 25km radius no charge. Otherwise R2.50 per km.
For venues far away we might require return flight tickets and accommodation.

Q: Will you be able to stay for touch-ups?

A: Yes, at an additional fee of R200.00 per hour.
